Four-year-old Kindergarten Program - located on the Korumburra Primary School Grounds (KPS)
At kindergarten your child will continue to grow socially and emotionally. Their ability to think, use and recognise language and their fine motor skills will be developed through play, art, dance, music, movement, and interacting with others. Most importantly, your child will be learning to become an effective learner as they develop and extend their communication skills, build their self-confidence, learn to be creative, and develop skills that assist them with reading, writing and mathematics.
Karmai programs offer 15 hours per week for children to attend the kindergarten program the year prior to starting school. Children must turn 4 years old on or before 30th April of the year they attend kindergarten.
The program hours are:
8:15am-3:45pm Monday-Friday (families select 2 days as their preference)
Enrolments for kindergarten are managed through central enrolments at South Gippsland Shire Council the year prior.

Three-year-old Kindergarten Program - located at the Long Day Care site of Karmai
South Gippsland Shire Council is one of six rural councils selected by the Victorian Government to provide funded three year-old kinder in 2020. The Council has been working with the Department of Education & Training and kindergarten services to implement new three-year-old programs with Karmai being one of the regional providers to offer the program.
Our funded three-year-old kinder program will be delivered over 15 hours per week, with children participating over two days per week at 7.5 hours per day.
The hours for our three-year-old kinder are 8:30 am-4:00 pm.
